Multidisciplinary Tongue-Tie Care
Nurturing Care for Untethered Smiles
At Bonded Beginnings, we provide multidisciplinary tongue-tie care that goes beyond a dental visit. Our team integrates dentistry, lactation support, and bodywork—including chiropractic care—while coordinating with trusted myofunctional therapists and other specialists.
We begin with a comprehensive evaluation of oral function, feeding patterns, airway, and whole-body tension. From there, we create a coordinated care plan that may include bodywork, therapy referrals, and when appropriate, a frenectomy with guided follow-up. Our goal is not just release—but lasting functional change.

Signs We Look For
Symptoms Across Ages
Tongue-ties can affect more than latch. Our team often sees clicking, reflux, prolonged feeds, or poor weight gain in infants. Older children may have picky eating, mouth breathing, or speech concerns. Adults may notice tension, headaches, or limited tongue mobility that impacts comfort. We connect symptoms to function.
During your visit, we assess tongue range, lip function, palate shape, and airway clues, then review what those findings mean. You'll receive a personalized plan that may include lactation support, myofunctional exercises, or coordination with pediatricians and therapists. Every recommendation is evidence-informed and patient-first. Call now to schedule your consultation at 910-763-0931">910-763-0931.

A Plan Beyond Release
Preparation, Timing & Follow-Through
A frenectomy alone may not correct function. Lasting results depend on preparation, proper timing, and follow-through with therapy and bodywork. Dr. Cortez coordinates with lactation consultants, speech-language pathologists, bodyworkers, and pediatric providers, then aligns everyone around shared goals. Your plan may include pre- and post-release exercises, feeding strategies, and myofunctional therapy to improve breathing and oral posture.
While therapy is not performed in-office, we guide families to trusted providers and remain involved throughout the process to ensure continuity and results. From your first call, you'll meet a team that explains timelines, sets realistic expectations, and checks in after each milestone. We welcome newborns, children, teens, and adults.
